Hey I have a question for those of you who use messenger plus. What benafits if any did you find by using messenger plus? Is it an add on to msn, or is it a stand alone program. How accissible is it for a jaws user? Let me know

Hi. I haven't used it. I've heard it's cool and accessible and provides some nifty features liek a swearing filter and away messages for mSN. However I've also heard it carries a toolbar and-or spyware or something, dont' quite remember this...

If you read when installing you are given the option of not installing the extra program, but to many people do not read. It is very accessible. You install it after installing MSN or Windows Messenger. It gives away messages, new statuses, ability to change someone's name should it offend you, logging capabilities and so much more. *smile* Just read carefully when you install anything...

And it also has some pretty cool sounds, like an evil laugh, but the person your sending the sounds to also has to have the program.

Hi, be aware that if you choose not to install the spyware program you will be given a dialog about every three days asking if you're sure you wouldn't like to install it. I removed msgplus from my system obviously.

Strange, I've been using it for two years and haven't seen that dialog pop up even once except for when I installed it. I love it! It allows you to log your chats, and you can even encrypt your chat logs if you so desire. Also, it allows you to send sounds, be notified of new mail, and it has some features to lock messenger if you wish to do that.
